Quality Assurance Engineer
An exciting new opportunity has just become available for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join us. This role will involve developing solutions, techniques and processes to improve the quality of Onalytica's software products and infuse a 'quality first' mindset throughout the entire company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, execute and manage high-value tests in order to sustain the improve the quality of Onalytica's software products
- Be a key player in bridging the gap between the Business and Technology teams in order to ensure Business needs are met.
- Work closely with product owners and business analysts to ensure their needs are clearly stated, implementable and testable
- Automate, optimise and continuously improve how software deliverables are validated
- Support the Business in validating and improving the company's business processes
About you
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong ability to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language
- Strong business acumen
- Full Software Development Lifecycle exposure
- Demonstrable experience of test planning, design, implementation, execution and management
- Programming and development experience including: scripting, object-oriented design and programming, databases, web and application servers, XML, IDEs, source control tools, automated build processes, continuous integration, unit testing, mock objects, coding guidelines and best practices
- Writing and validating clear, strong and testable acceptance criteria and signing off completed user stories
- Hands-on experience of acceptance testing (usage, tools, processes), regression testing, white-box and functional testing, system and integration testing and automated testing
- Agile process exposure, including user stories, acceptance criteria, iterative development, release planning, agile estimating and planning
- Issue Management (usage, tools, processes) and Defect Management

Quantitative Models Researcher
Transforming online ‘buzz’ into insight and predictions
Based on input from a range of internal and external stakeholders the Quantitative Models Researcher (QMR) researches, develops, tests and documents predictive models.
You will be working on the cutting edge of large scale data mining and predictive analysis and help transform online “buzz” into insight and predictions.
You will be tackling some of the hardest (and therefore most exciting) problems around. However, you will do so in a world class working environment together with some very smart colleagues. It’s going to be fun, challenging and exciting!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Keeping abreast with the latest scientific developments in the area
- Creating and testing predictive models
- Identifying internal and external sources of test and outcome data
- Researching new areas of predictive analysis and data mining to ensure we remain competitive
About you
Our ideal candidate will be:
- Educated to Masters or PHD level in a Maths, Statistics, Finance or Computer Science discipline
- Experienced with R (or GNUS), MatLab, Visual Studio (C# or VB.net)
- Experienced in developing and testing models in the computational sciences, financial, economics, retail or research sectors
- Well versed in regression models, time series analysis, multivariate analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, principal component analysis, large scale matrix manipulation, causality analysis/testing and linear algebra
- Able to demonstrate experience of programming to implement efficient tests and models
- Disciplined and a self-starter

We are experiencing tremendous interest for our InfluenceMonitor service. The service enables brands and organisations to extract jaw-dropping insight from the online debate and make early predictions about the effects of their market communications as well as upcoming changes in market share.
About the job
As a Account Manager you will service new business requests for information, present our services to prospective and existing clients, send proposals and receive orders. You will also ensure that all clients are receiving the most value from the service they have bought.
The ideal candidate will have;
- Solid account management experience
- A good understanding of business analytics and market communications
- Relevant industry experience, i.e. from advertising and media agencies
- Experience from working with large brands in multiple countries/territories
- Ability to work independently and stamina to develop the position in the right direction
- A positive attitude, great interpersonal skills and high clock speed
You will work closely with our team of client consultants who train and look after the day-to-day support of clients.
