About the job
In this job you will have a leading role in the design and development of services that transforms online debate into valuable insight and actionable intelligence.
You will participate in all aspects of architecting, designing, implementing and releasing new elements of our analysis systems.
About you
You have solid programming experience using Visual Studio (ASP.NET, C#/VB) and SQL Server, especially stored procedures, database design and database performance optimisation.
You absolutely LOVE to develop great software.
You have good experience in working with very large datasets and databases in a data mining environment.
It would be great if you have experience with design and development of Windows Services, designing your way out of concurrency issues, high availability websites, systems or services (for example from banking, defence/governmental, space/aviation/high energy physics).
If you have experience with design/development of web crawlers, feed monitoring farms or search engines is further a plus.
If you have an interest in and/or experience with large scale matrix manipulation, graph theory related algorithms or similar will be a strong plus.
You probably have at least 5-10 years programming experience (a formal education in a relevant subject is likely to be considered an advantage, but we will pay far more attention to your actual experience, personality and skills).

Salary: Up to £60k - more for the exceptional candidate
