What areas of business intelligence are you most passionate about?

There are a lot of areas to develop myself to become an extraordinary expert in Business Intelligence; among which I am passionate about the following areas:

  • Data Analytics
  • Communication Skill
  • Particular Industry Knowledge and
  • Problem Solving Skills

Data Analytics: Data Analysis has the top priority as it is the core of Business Intelligence skill required to use data to make better decisions. Hence, you need to be excellent at examining variety of sources of data and then building precise conclusions about them.

Communication Skills: You need to be able to communicate effectively with other professionals with your findings. You may not need to communicate much if you work in back-end business intelligence but if you work in the front-end, you need to communicate a lot with non tech-technical people. So it is necessary to develop effective Communication skills.

Particular Industry Knowledge: You need to have at least a minimum level of understanding and knowledge of the industry dynamics, as it will increase your ability to connect data with business problem-solving. Particular industry knowledge will make you stand out from the crowd.

Problem Solving Skills: Business Intelligence (BI) is not limited to analyzing data, it is also necessary to develop Problem solving skills.  It’s a day to day task to create proper business strategies and solving real world business problems with that data.

Outside of business intelligence who else influences you?

There are so many. But, if I short list then:

How would you describe your offline influence?

I am conducting variety of training and campaigns to influence young generation to encourage entrepreneurship.

What are going to be the key developments in the industry in the next 12 months?

The world of business intelligence has been disrupted by self-service analytics. The model has been shifted so that anyone gets the ability to get analytics, and can solve the problems of their organization with the help of analytics.

The administration department of a company is also been disrupted in the same way. Traditional ways of management are being innovated with the expansion of self-service analytics.

As the self-service analytics open the doors to new valuable perspectives and information, non IT business executives have the opportunity to work with Business Intelligence. In this instance, self-service business intelligence will continue to expand in the upcoming days.

If a brand wanted to work with you, what activities would you be most interested in collaborating on?

Sponsored posts, speaking opportunities with products, webinars as long as it’s engaging, insightful and assist us convey how we plan to empower customers through their own data.
